The next day, Monday, was our only full day in Philadelphia & we set out to see as much as we possibly could in 1 little day. I loved the contrast of the American flags and the culture of Philly Chinatown.

Urban trees rock- I always love that there are still green signs & a tiny bit of natural life in the urban jungle.

Nothing like a little urban sculptures too. I think the world needs more dragons…

We really wanted to hit some of the historical sites, so we ended up at the National Constitution Center, which is part of a large park with Independence Hall at the other end of the green space.

I was amazed to think that most of this, this being all the museums & tourist areas, were pretty new. Otherwise, before the bicentennial in 1976, that much attention was paid to restoring these places & making them tourist attractions.

There’s lots of stuff to see & do inside of Independence Visitor Center, including the Liberty Bell, but our goal was to sign up for a walking tour of the area to get a first-hand narrative of all the cool, old things to see.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Having dinner with my mom tonight!

Is it weird that I have “Motownphilly” running through my head now?
