Our Saturday morning on Pittsburgh’s Strip continued with more exploring. The area had such a mess of old & new, organized chaos, mass marketing & local produce, mobs of people enjoying the old way of life.

My next favorite area was the instant farmer’s market area with lots of local produce and meat. Many people were doing cooking demonstrations and offering samples. So neat!

Lunch (and drink!) time. We found a nice seat on the balcony to watch the throngs of shoppers below us.

The lobster sandwich was the recommended specialty & it was certainly interesting!

On the sidewalk, beside the hats is a wonderful place to set up your fresh pastries.

Next we entered into the wonderful world of Mancini’s Bread Company- a neighborhood market with all the allure of an old neighborhood store with tons of fresh everything on display.

I was in awe just watching the workers effortlessly handle and fillet the fish.

So many choices, everything looked so fresh, so many organic options! I was extremely jealous….

No large farm meat around here- it all appeared butchered and packaged on premises.

Where else could you go into a club that occupies a former church?

We caught our first taste of some of the amazing graffiti around town. This was several stories in the air- wow do they even get up there?
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: The weekend! I love it more every week- it’s birthday party time tonight for Haley & Mark.
