So…opps! I somehow forgot to post all the great shots I took while out on a run of the waterfalls in downtown Spokane after I posted about Riverfront Park. The Spokane River runs on either side of a good size island & it meets back up with these 2 very cool waterfalls feeding some very turbulent waters.

The left side (the north side) is a series of smaller, gentler cascading falls down around the island. I want to live in a condo with that view!

Further still downstream is the powerplant, where water is released over a controlled drop….

…and then an even larger falls before the water rushes under Monroe Street Bridge. During good weather, you can ride those cable cars out over the water for an incredible view. Between the light right & the heavy mist, this is a very wet area!

I didn’t actually go out on the bridge, but this is a pretty close shot of the various cascading waterfalls all the way back up the river.

The south side of the island has some massive falls! They are both big/tall and large/raging river wise…..

One of the neat things about rivers & waterfalls, even nature in general, is the ever changing status. I imagine this river looks very different in the spring & water- both beautiful in their own spectacular ways.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Glad to be back at home, but going out tonight for Mark & Pam’s bachelor & bachelorette parties.
