Labor Day Weekend 2010

Last weekend is already a blur! I hate that so many holidays and long weekends go by & I can’t remember what I did or how I spent the time.  It’s easy when we travel, but I’m going to try to be better about documenting it when we relax.  Last weekend was the first time in a LONG time that we just hung out- we still went to the gym & got caught up on chores and had a fabulous fun party.  Early Saturday morning I took the dogs to the park since I ran Hershey Park on Friday morning & they didn’t get in their usual exercise.

Saturday morning after I tried a yoga class, we hit the movies.  H loves to go and I generally prefer to watch stuff at home.  We saw the Angelina Jolie movie Salt, which was pretty entertaining but a typical action flick with a hot chick being a total badass.

Friday night, we had a casual dinner at one of our favorite restaurants- Babin’s, where we ran into my parents and got caught up with them.  I also discovered the joys of Dairy Queen’s new mini-blizzard, all the fun & taste-  half the guilt of a full size!  Through out the weekend, we watched a 6 part series called The Corner, which is based on true stories and a follow up to The Wire series we’d watched.  Saturday afternoon, we headed back to our local favorite wine bar and just sat around enjoying each others company and some delicious wines.  It was the perfect weekend and just what we needed before kicking off an insanely busy few weeks.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: I’m off to Detroit for training all week.
