Done with New Zealand & now to catch up on all my other travels in the last few months…..
In mid-June, I was able to take a combo work-personal trip to Washington State. We started out working in Spokane, which entails a flight to Seattle & then onto Spokane. I really like landing in Seattle because the scenery around the state is so beautiful.

I can’t believe how much snow is still on the ground for summertime. It was already high 90′s in Houston by this time.

This property reminded me of a little oasis, a break in the woods, a nice house in the clearing surrounded by mountains and a nice little pond.

And if you get lucky enough to sit on the right side of plane, you can usually get a great view of Mt. Rainer.

How wild is this rain cloud? I’ve never seen anything like it- especially from the air.

Seattle is a city surrounded by water as the sound ebbs and flows in and around all the mountains and neighborhoods.

I forget that Seattle is one of the major Pacific ports & they do incredible amounts of cargo & trade.

I adore all the little hills & bright green trees- they made such beautiful neighborhoods.

Not sure if this is just a really nice hotel or some other type of business, but they have got a prime waterfront location.

A few little beaches along the shoreline & a marina full of boats.

The Seattle airport is really nice- big, bright & airy. Lots of shops & restaurants, free wifi, a wine bar & well laid out.

A quick layover & we headed out of Seattle and towards Spokane. It’s not often that we turn & fly right back over the airport.

I caught a glimpse of downtown proper in the distance with the Mariners & Sea-hawks stadiums.

Water water, all around! There are tons of homes & neighborhoods that have waterfront view & a little piece of the shoreline.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: My first post I wrote in WordPress & uploaded photos from Flickr. Written on June 25th- we’ll see how long until I get around to publishing it.

I’m always amazed at what great pics you capture while on a plane.
Very cool.
I can see Microsoft from up here!
