Back in Christchurch, we opted to stay downtown at The Heritage hotel instead of up in the hills overlooking the city.
We opted for the Penthouse studio for $270 NZ per night, but put us on the top floor with a balcony and a very spacious room.
The elevator didn’t go to the top floor- just the one under it & required walking up an additional set of stairs. The patio outside was nice, but not too functional if you wanted to sit and enjoy the views.
Unfortunately it was pretty overcast on our last days in Christchurch. It was neat to look out and see the hills & ocean off in the distance.
The bedroom as spacious and nice views overlooking the city out the window.
The bathroom had 2 doors and was accessible through the bedroom or entry hallway.
The bathroom was bright and big enough for us to share.
From our room, we could see the stadium where we were going the following night to catch a rugby game.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: The end of the New Zealand posts is in sight- I think I can finish in the next week!
