Just before arriving into Christchuch, we passed Sandihurst Winery and couldn’t resist stopping in for a taste.

It was beginning to drizzle a little bit, so I was glad to see a real tasting room- an adorable one at that.

The inside was clean & charming.  I didn’t take too many photos of the art, but you can see some sitting behind the wine cases on the table.

We were the only people there & it was nice to visit with the owners & those passionate about wine.

Peeking out the back window, you could see some of their vineyards in bloom.

For the whole of our trip, we didn’t get to see or visit nearly as many wineries as I’d hoped, but I’m not sure what else I could have or would have changed about our itinerary.

Another reason we didn’t tour many wineries on our own- there were these very ominous signs all along the highways always warning of impending doom and destruction.

Never a dull moment driving in New Zealand.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY:  I really want a new camera and I am loving the rumors on the D-90 replacement.
