Departing Fox Glacier, we started day 13 of our trip and headed back to Christchurch for our last 2 nights.

Everywhere we turned, we were surrounded by towering mountains & gorgeous glaciers decorating the mountain tops.

The one thing about visiting New Zealand is that I imagine is a very different- in a stunningly gorgeous & very brutal way, during the winter months.

We passed through several little towns, including Hokitika, on the way up the coast heading towards Arthur’s Pass.

We didn’t stop, as we had a long drive ahead of us, but they were cute & quaint nonetheless.

One of the more interesting sites we saw on the road- a round-about with a train crossing right in the middle!

Heading inland from Greymouth, we traveresed some beautiful lush valleys surrounded by rolling green foothills.

We crossed this river which had a huge collection of red rocks piled so neatly among the gray river stones.

I think if I had to move to New Zealand and get a job, I could handle truck driving if I could see things like this all day.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Home from the wedding & we had a blast!

Wow – simply breathtaking! I imagine it was even more amazing in person! I subscribed to your blog – sorry it took me so long! I’m still kinda new to this whole blogging world, so figure it all out is kinda crazy. I finally figured out how to “burn a feeder” and I think that’s what solved my problem. =)
Oh…and definitely try the glucosamine. I have had 2 ACL surgeries – left and right knee – and though my knees get achy post run, I think it helps with the recovery time and it helps during the running. I also credit the glucosamine with helping my hip recover.
