Now I wanted to include a few of how our living room turned out.
H *LOVES* the new TV- the LCD is so crisp it doesn’t even look real sometimes. We still need to do some more decorating on the walls, plus figure out what piece of furniture would be best for all those electronic.
The shutters make such a huge difference in the living room & we really enjoy using the recessed lights on a dimmer to watch movies.
The couch is a little big for this area, but we weren’t ready to buy a new one anytime soon. We’ve added our wedding photo collage on that far wall beside the tree.
I just love how big and open this whole area is & it worked out beautifully for hosting our first big party last weekend.
I’m really happy with how the yellow paint turned out- a slightly darker shade on the fireplace standout. We’re waiting till fall to buy a new gas log insert for the fireplace, but I’m really excited that we will have a functional, putting-out-heat fireplace.
This is technically (jokingly?) our “lounge” and I still want to paint it blue somehow like we had it before in our old house.
We enjoy sitting in our lounge on the weekends, hanging out with the dogs & sipping on wine. Can’t wait till the fall when it’s cool enough to do that outside again.
