The last and final week of renovations at our house was less dramatic- fewer big things every day & lots of time on staining the cabinets. In our laundry room, I’d painted it purple before the washer & dryer arrived, but the base units didn’t show up until a few weeks later. It was a total PITA trying to get the base attached & put them both back in their place in this tiny room. We needed help- but luckily my dad came to the rescue.

The majority of the last week was spent staining the cabinets- prepping them, sanding them, staining them, sealing them, re-assembling them.

Friday was my 30th birthday & we had company coming into town, so I was desperate to get everything fixed and this mess cleaned out of our dining room.

We had the cleaning lady come back to scrape a few decades worth of gunk off the windows & the do an initial dust removal on the rest of the house, she however couldn’t do much to help this room.

The plumber spent quite a bit of time at our house too this week- replacing 2 toilets, changing out the hardware in all the bathrooms for faucets and shower heads. It was a mad rush to the finish, but we got it all done (even if I didn’t get my kitchen unpacked for another week) before Stephanie arrived!
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Headed to Salt Lake City today for work.
