Living Room Before
We sat in our new living room watching TV for all of Sunday & then promptly packed it all away, after marking out the couch location, to start renovations on the living room.
Say good-bye to the eyeball spot lights & paneling on the fireplace wall!

So there our TV sat for another 3 weeks, along with our couch & everything that normally belong in our kitchen.

Trash Pile, Day 1
I came home on Monday to find a large portion of the living room was now outside in the garbage pile where it would stay for 4 weeks.

Living Room Demolition, Day 1
We tore out the whole ceiling in the living room to ceiling to run recessed lighting and to install speakers for surround sound. All the extra molding was ripped off the walls & above the fireplace to make room for the TV. The Sheetrock on the walls was cut out to run all the electrical & wires for the TV.

Living Room Demolition, Day 1
I didn’t realize it was snowing dust in my house until I started taking pictures. We cut the sheetrock over there to run more switches for the lights & you can see that we failed miserably in putting up adequate protection against the dust.

After day 1 of remodeling, we decided to hang plastic sheets like walls over all the openings in a vain attempt to keep dust off the furniture. It helped, but our house remained a high dust zone for another month.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: BBQ for dinner….’nuf said!
