She’d managed to hop up on the counter and steal a whole bunch of bananas!

We’d been going to the vet dermatologist since last summer with mixed results. She’s been on a veggie only diet and taking a low-dose steroid for her skin allergies. I wasn’t really happy with the results- she acts hungry ALL the time, drinks a ton of water, her fur is getting noticeably thinner and she still has bumps (just not as bad as before). It’s impossible with our running in the park, staying at my mom’s house and her thievery to keep her on a totally “clean” diet.
So last week, I took her to a holistic vet to get a second opinion and some more nutritional advice. I don’t like her being on a strictly veggie diet and I don’t like the long term steroid use. The vet gave us lots of herbs & natural supplements to try, on top of the steroids. I think we’re going to give it a few weeks & hopefully transition to a single-protein food. I’d eventually like to take her off the steroids and possibly do some blood work to determine her nutritional deficiencies.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Green beans are in the ground. Squash is growing well so far.
