Last Monday, Zoe still had really bad bumps all over. She’d been on antibiotics for a week and then we tried switching her to a different allergy medicine for over a week. They would get better and then worse, but never really go away. I finally decided to take her to an animal dermatologist.
Last Tuesday, they looked at the fluid from inside the bumps and decided it was a staph infection and an allergic reaction. They put her on a allergy medicine with a steroid and also a new antibiotic.
By the first afternoon, her bumps were improving and withing a few days they were fully gone. It’s been a week now, and we’re slowly starting to taper the steroids over the next two weeks. Hopefully she will remain bump free and chasing the bugs.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: H picked me up at work and took me to lunch since we aren’t seeing much of each other in the evenings I’m taking my SCUBA classes.
