THE CORKSCREW

Almost like a repeat of last weekend, we ended up at a wine bar on Washington Avenue, but this time we checked out The Corkscrew. After my brother’s baseball game & after we decided the Italian Festival was NOT hip enough for us, we headed into town. We had a fabulous afternoon- amazing cool weather, fabulous wine & great conversation.

They had some great wall art on the wall about wines.

I feel better about drinking in the middle of the afternoon if I can somehow translate the experience into something more meaningful ;)

This is mostly the red wine section, and they had an equally large selection of white wines.
Our favorite part, was the outdoor seating and tables. We enjoyed the weather and watched with curiosity many of the locals in the area.

There is at least one other wine bar on Washington Ave. that we’d like to try out, but I can see us coming back to the corkscrew for sure.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Wine is good for the heart, right?
